Dear Cathy:  ( you may publish this)               07-09 Here is my positive review of the Bear Junction house we rented in Mc Cloud from 27 July to 30 July 2009. There were no negatives worth mentioning.There was just my wife and I.The unit has 2B/1B so it was adequate. In general the unit was very clean and well furnished. Also very comfortable. The place is VERY quiet. McCloud is extremely quiet and safe. Tell your guests not to miss visiting the McCloud River Park with the 3 cascades (Lower, Middle, and Upper)  located at 7 miles from McCloud. Great natural swimming holes. Also visit Castle lake only 10 miles away. Driving to Bunny Flat will give you fantastic views of Mt. Shasta. From there you can hike to several places. We recommend to start early and "discover" Panther Meadows. One can stay for 10 days and have one or two different activities every day. If you have to climb Mt Shasta do not go pass the 10.000 ft point, unless you are very fit.Next time I will make sure to visit with your neighbors particularly the charming lady who takes care of the parrots, she is delightful. A dinner tour by train is a must do. I would definitely go back and will recommend the place to my  friends.  Thank you for everything, Greetings               Moises OSTROVSKY
